YouthLink
A space to connect, be yourself, and explore what matters
Adolescence can be a time of change, uncertainty, and searching for where you fit.
YouthLink is a weekly social group for young people who are looking to connect with like-minded peers in a space that feels safe, respectful, and genuinely engaging.
This is not a social skills group.
There’s no pressure to perform, participate in a certain way, or meet expectations.
Instead, YouthLink offers a space where young people can:
- Be themselves
- Build connections naturally
- Explore topics that matter to them
- Feel seen, heard, and understood
Our Approach
At Spencer Health, we take a neuroaffirming and low-demand approach to all of our groups.
We understand that connection doesn’t come from being taught how to socialise —
it comes from feeling safe enough to be yourself.
YouthLink is:
- Relationship-first
- Interest-led
- Flexible and responsive to the group
- Facilitated by psychologists who support, rather than direct
We meet young people where they are, allowing conversations, activities, and connections to evolve organically.
What Happens in YouthLink?
Each session is guided by the interests and energy of the group.
This might include:
- Conversations about life, identity, and friendships
- Shared interests (music, gaming, creative pursuits, current topics)
- Collaborative activities or low-pressure games
- Space to decompress and just “be”
There is no forced participation — young people can engage in a way that feels comfortable for them.
Over time, this creates:
- Genuine peer connection
- Increased confidence
- A sense of belonging
Who is YouthLink for?
YouthLink is designed for adolescents who:
- Are looking for connection with peers
- May feel different or out of step socially
- Prefer smaller, more supportive group environments
- Are neurodivergent or identify with neurodivergent experiences
- Want a space where they don’t have to mask or fit in
Why YouthLink?
Because every young person deserves a space where they can:
- Feel a sense of belonging
- Connect without pressure
- Be accepted as they are
