Khalil Dolatyar (SP)
Registered Psychologist (Hornsby & Mosman)
Khalil is an experienced Registered Psychologist providing psychological services to children aged 8 and above, adolescents, adults, couples, and parents. He supports clients experiencing a range of challenges associated with neurodivergence, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as a broad range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, addiction, and behavioural difficulties such as Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD).
Khalil also supports parents in understanding and responding to the needs of their neurodivergent children, with a focus on practical strategies that promote emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour, and day-to-day functioning.
Khalil primarily uses evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), incorporating other evidence-based interventions according to each client's individual needs. He takes a transdiagnostic approach, focusing on the symptoms, difficulties, and functional impacts experienced by each individual rather than relying solely on diagnostic categories. His approach is practical, collaborative, and tailored to the individual's circumstances and goals.
Khalil provides psychological services to clients funded through Medicare, NDIS, Workers Compensation (WorkCover), and CTP schemes. Khalil is committed to helping individuals and families better understand their challenges, develop practical strategies for change, and improve their psychological wellbeing and everyday functioning.
Khalil is available on Tuesdays at our Mosman clinic and Fridays at our Hornsby clinic.
