James is an AHPRA registered psychologist. In 2021, James completed his Graduate Diploma in Advanced Psychology at Monash University. He completed his 4+2 pathway in 2024. Since then he has worked with children, adolescents and adults across a range of challenges and presentations.

James has a special interest in supporting young people with school challenges (burnout, stress, interpersonal issues), depression and anxiety, LGBTQIA self discovery/understanding and neurodiverse presentations.

Creating space for connection is one of James’s key values. He provides a warm, empathetic and non-judgmental environment where young people can safely explore their inner world. His approach is based on collaboration, fostering understanding and authenticity to empower young people to make choices that suit their lives and make sense to them.

James draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to provide holistic, individualised support for young people. He is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing. James has an interest in child-centred modalities, tailoring his approach to meet the unique needs of each young person and their family.

He is available for appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Spencer Health Hornsby.
