Ashley Lam (IC)

Clinical Psychologist (Mosman)

Ashley is a clinical psychologist with experience working in private practice, providing therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults. She is passionate about supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transition challenges, stress, and difficulties with emotion regulation. Ashley has a particular interest in working with clients who struggle with perfectionism, high self-expectations, and a harsh inner critic, and who wish to shift from reactive patterns of behaviour to more intentional, values-guided responses.

Ashley draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, tailoring treatment to meet each individual’s unique needs. These include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy. Above all, she aims to create a collaborative, warm, and authentic therapeutic environment where clients feel supported, understood, and free from judgment.

In addition to therapy, Ashley has a keen interest in psychometric assessment for children and adolescents. She has experience administering cognitive assessments and preparing comprehensive, detailed reports.

Ashley’s approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centred, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Above all, Ashley strives to create a supportive and open working relationship to guide clients and empower them along the process of therapeutic change.

Ashley sees clients Monday and Tuesday at Mosman, and on Wednesday at Gladesville
