Yiing is a friendly and approachable Registered psychologist working towards her full registration with the support of Spencer Health. She has completed a Bachelor of Science with honours at the University of Western Australia and Masters of Professional Psychology at the University of Newcastle.

Yiing is determined about destigmatising mental health disorders and has a particular interest in early intervention. Having worked across private practice, special needs education schools, and other non-profit organisations in both Australia and Malaysia, Yiing is extremely passionate about helping children and families to achieve their full potential. She not only has the experience working with children presenting with mental health disorders, but also development disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and intellectual disabilities. Yiing draws from evidence-based interventions to tailor an individualized treatment, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Her other area of interest lies in developmental and educational assessment of children that will help identify strengths and challenges they possess, which informs the kinds of support that are necessary to help the children flourish. She is trained in the ADOS-2 and is passionate about supporting children with ADHD and Autism.

Yiing is confident working with diverse cultures, and also able to offer therapy in Mandarin, Hokkien, and Malay.

Yiing provides support for children and young teens presenting with anxiety, mood issues and emotional regulation challenges. She supports children on the Autism spectrum and with ADHD. Yiing also provides academic and educational assessment, assessment for ADHD and is trained in the ADOS-2.
