Renae is an Art Therapist with a passion for helping children and young people realise the power of art making and creativity in healing and mental health.
Renae has a Masters in Art Therapy with Distinction from Western Sydney University and is a professional member of ANZACATA. Renae has experience in creating and running both group art therapy programs and individual art therapy sessions with children and young people. As a practising artist Renae believes in the importance of play and experimentation in the creative process and the therapeutic power of art making.
Renae uses a person-centred, trauma informed, non-judgmental approach to helping children and young people improve their mental health and overall wellbeing. She has experience working with children and young people with a variety of different needs including behavioural and personality disorders, anxiety, depression, self harm, suicide and other emotional difficulties. Renae strives to provide a safe, nurturing space to in which children and young people are empowered to reach their full potential.
