Jessica is a compassionate, engaging and experienced psychologist, having practised psychology in her home country of Brazil. Jessica is a Registered Psychologist having completed her 5+1 internship pathway towards registration in Australia.

Throughout her dynamic career, Jessica has performed significant work providing individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and their families suffering from a range of mental health concerns, involving relationship problems, bullying, learning difficulties, depression, and anxiety. Jessica has gained skills in engaging creatively with children and adolescents, facilitating them to understand and manage their emotions. She has also designed creative workshops and play therapy for kids.

Working with young people has driven her passionately. She truly believes that each client is unique and that an empathic and caring approach, is essential to the work of supporting youths to express themselves and build a good self-awareness to create healthier relationships with their community.  Jessica combines psychodynamic therapy with other evidence-based approaches such as CBT to achieve her client’s therapy goals. She values scientific research and understands the importance of working from a holistic approach rather than trying to fit clients with ‘the normal’.

Jessica has a strong desire to work with youngsters with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). With her international experience and background of working with Refugees and their families in Australia, she understands the significance of a strong client-therapist relationship to establish trust and facilitate clients to achieve a more satisfactory life.

Jessica is passionate about supporting children and adolescents with a range of mental health disorders and neurodevelopmental presentations. She provides educational assessment, as well as assessment for ADHD, learning disorders and giftedness.
