Nidhi has always wanted to pursue a career in Paediatrics and preventative health from an early age. She trained at the University of Newcastle and has since trained across the country in various hospitals including John Hunter Children’s Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital (Melbourne) and Children’s Hospital Westmead. Nidhi has also completed a Diploma of Child Health (University of Sydney) as an additional qualification and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Paediatrics and Child Health in early 2022.

Nidhi is multilingual and has experience working with families of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. She has a keen interest in Paediatric Haematology (having completed 3 years training in this speciality), and preventative medicine, especially promoting healthy and happy lifestyles for kids. Nidhi enjoys seeing children of all ages and has also had additional training in managing neonates. Nidhi is also very passionate about education and has been teaching medical students and paediatric trainees for more than 10 years, most recently as an Associate Lecturer for the University of Newcastle Joint Medical Program.

In her spare time, Nidhi enjoys painting, the beach, hiking, reading, music and has been training in classical Indian dancing (Bharatanatyam) since the age of 3.

Nidhi also has an interest in working with developmental presentations such as Autism and ADHD and is refining her skills in these areas.
