Provisional Psychologist (Gladesville)

Claire is currently completing her Master’s Degree at Macquarie University and is registered as a Provisional Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. She also holds a Master’s degree in Organisational Psychology and has extensive experience with psychological assessment and practice in organisational settings. Claire has been a member of the Australian Psychological Society for over 12 years.

Claire aims to expand her experience in assessing, evaluating, and supporting the unique strengths and growth opportunities of adults at work to enhance the psychological and social well-being of children and their families.

Claire has lived experience in raising twice-exceptional children (giftedness accompanied by neurodevelopmental challenges) and understands the joys and challenges of parenting unique and developing personalities.  Claire aims to support children, young people, and their families better understand unique brain styles and ways of interacting with the world, navigate the diverse challenges these differences create, equip them to advocate for their needs, and assist them to discover and develop their unique talents and strengths.

Claire has a calm and understanding approach when working with clients, taking a pragmatic approach to treatment and using a blend of evidence-based treatment modalities to suit the individual needs of her clients. Claire has been trained in Cognitive-Based Therapy (CBT) and is gaining experience in ACT, DBT, and art therapy.

Claire’s key areas of interest include social skills, emotion regulation, executive functioning, stress, anxiety, and mood disorders. With her background in organisational psychology, Claire also has an interest in vocational assessment and career counselling. Furthermore, Claire has been trained in cognitive and learning ability tests, and functional assessment, and is being trained to undertake assessments for ADHD and Autism.

Working days are: Monday, Thursday, and Friday
