Westmead Feelings Group Therapy Program
Develop your child’s emotion regulation skills, alongside your own emotion coaching skills.
The Westmead Feelings Program is an evidence-based group therapy program designed to support children on the autism spectrum to understand emotions, solve problems and to manage their feelings in everyday settings.
The program includes child and parent sessions, delivered across 3 school terms, with a booster session delivered for children and parents at the end of term 4.
Modules focus on developing an understanding of 4 primary emotions, understanding emotions in self and others, problem solving skills, perspective taking skills and coping skills.

The Program is delivered by Clinical Psychologist Shannon Grassby, accredited Westmead Feelings Program facilitator.
Who is this program for?
This program is uniquely designed to suit the needs of autistic children and their families. It is a comprehensive program, designed to build upon the strengths of autistic children whilst addressing their emotional needs.
The program is suitable for children who have participated in individual therapy before, as well as children who have received no therapeutic support.
A suitability assessment will be conducted to assess your child’s suitability for a group program.
Where is the Program Run?
The program is run at our Gladesville location, 146 Pittwater Rd Gladesville.
What is the Structure of the program?
Each group includes 3-6 children in age matched groups of 8-11 or 12-14 years old.
Each session is delivered across 1.5hrs with Shannon and her co-faciliator.
Each session includes structured learnings, role plays and games, with each week including a “takeaway” task to practice at home.
What is the cost of this program?
The total cost of the program for the year commitment
$240 for a Suitability Assessment
$3450 inc. 7 sessions per term | 5 child sessions | 2 parent sessions
$100 for the child and parent workbooks
